TUGGA-DUT! (One Last Time)
-
-
We are starting to conquer the challenge of “Italian In
Algiers.”
-
-
The “TUGGA-DUT” technique lets us play that tune with more
excitement and drive that we could do otherwise.
-
-
Sure, it’s a bit of extra work, but PLEASE do work on it a bit
each day between now and the concert. It will really pay off if
you do!

The flyer that’s there right now still says 2008. Please make
sure everyone knows it’s really 2009.

-
These flyers really do help get the word out, so give them to

MC BAND CONCERT TONIGHT
-
-
Tonight, Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at 7:30 PM, the Mississippi
College band, under the baton of our friend Dr. Craig Young, and
augmented by a few of our own players, will be giving a concert
in the Swor Auditorium on the MC Campus.
-
-
Our Horn Section Leader, Betsy Landers (who is playing with them
for this concert), says this of the event:
It will be quite
entertaining! Dr. Young always likes to put some squirrelly
stuff in there and this one is no different! We are playing a
song called "Snakes," and all kinds of things to make it
interesting! It will not be a very long concert. Playing the
"Liberty Bell”, "With Quiet Courage" by Larry Daehn, and a
really cool (and difficult!!!) piece - A Download Suite by John
Ireland, plus a few other little things. We need a crowd and I
figured since Craig has been a part of our group on occasion,
that we should support him!!!
-
-
I agree. If you have some time tonight, go to MC Swor
Auditorium, support their band, and have a good time at the
concert!

See you at rehearsal Monday!
