DIRECTIONS TO BELHAVEN UNIVERSITY

GPS: Address: 835 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS.

 

FROM INTERSTATE 55: Exit on Woodrow Wilson Blvd. Go west a couple of blocks to Murrah Drive. This is just to the west of Murrah High School. Take a left turn (there's no traffic light there) (Note: It's a rather odd turn; you have to make a little switchback before you can complete the turn) and go south one long block to Riverside Drive. Turn right onto Riverside Drive and go (less than) one block west to the Belhaven University Center for the Arts on your left. It looks like a church, complete with a steeple. It used to be a church.

FROM STATE STREET IN JACKSON: Turn off of State Street onto Riverside Drive, eastbound. Riverside Drive is north of Fortification street and south of Woodrow Wilson Blvd. Go a bit more than a block to the Belhaven Center for the Arts on your right. It looks like a church, complete with a steeple. It used to be a church.

WHEN YOU GET THERE:

HANDICAP ACCESS: Let out your passengers under the portico on the right (west) side of the building. The doorway under the portico is wheelchair accessible, and there is continued easy access all the way into the auditorium. There is handicap parking on the east side of the building.

AUDIENCE: You may park in the street in the designated parking places, or in the parking places on the left (east) side of the building. There is additional parking in back of the building. Enter through the front doors (or the handicap doors to the east).

MUSICIANS: Please park in the back and on the back right (southwest) side of the building. Enter through the large glass doors that face the turnaround on the southwest corner of the building, and go down the hallway to your left to room 103, where you may leave your instrument case. Enter the auditorium through the stage doors near room 103.
